TRIAL RESUMED
. BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. ■ CHRISTCHURCH, May 23. The adjourned trial of P. C. Webb for alleged seditious utterances on the West Coast^ was resumed at the Police Court this morning. Sir John Findlay appeared for accused; with him Mr Cassidy. Crown counsel. Mr Raymond, dealt first with the Greymouth' speech, and submitted that Webb, by that speech) indicated a total lack of appreciation of the fact that the country was at war. Constable McMahon gave evidence as to taking notes of the speech.
