BOWLING.
The Taranaki Herald says that in New Plymouth the season is now fairly opened though up to the present there has not been very much bowling weather. All the dubs have had their opening ceremonies and the" greens aro mostly in excellent condition. Most of the clubs have had a satisfactory accession to their membership, so that it is evident the game is growing in popular favor. There is a likelihood of a rew club being formed at Okato", it is understood, before next season. Mr J. S. Fox has joined the town club and if he takes up the game in earnest he and Mr Hawkins, of Tataraimaka are hkely to 4 take in hand the forming of a country club.
