LAW PROCEEDINGS PENDING1. BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Nov. 15. Mr Curtis, New Zealand representative of the Strowger (?) Automatic Telephone Company of America, has instructed his solicitors to take action at law forbidding the Western Electric Company, Ltd. (Australasia^, infringing the; pajtent rights alleged to be held by the plaintiff company with respect to the automatic telephones proposed to be introduced into New Zealand bj the Western Company. The Crown- will be joined as respondents. The actioi is a sequel to the acceptance by the Government of the Western Company's tender for the installation of automatic exchanges at Auckland, Wellington, Blenheim, Hamilton, Oamaru, and Maslerton.
