CONTEMPT FOR THE ARBITRATION ACT.

WELLINGTON., Nov. 15. - The Lyttelton Union has replied to the employers' ultimatum, referring them to the executive in Wellington, "who have our unbounded confidence. We are not out simply in loyalty to our feMw-warkers in Wellington, but to show our undisguised contempt for the Arbitration Act."
In regard to the fifty or sixty men who purpose leaving Hawera on Monday for Wellington, Mr Treweek wired to Mi- Long, of the Harbor Board, asking "if they could be assured cr employment when they arrive: 1. Mr Long replied: "Will welcome rur Contingent jfronday night. E;-.u^h work here for 200 more men." The police have been advised by the inspector from Wanganui, that any men going to Wellington should travel by the ordinary train, leaving New Plymouth early on Monday morning.
