At the Supremo Court to-day Jas. Smith, charged with theft, was sentenced to four months' imprisonment; Walter Jas. Haslar, on a charge of rape, was sentenced to four years' imprisonment, and declared a habitual criminal; and three iads, charged with forgery and uttering at Taihape, were, "'admitted to probation.
