On Friday, 7th Lnst, .at my Waiwakaiho yards J. had a very fair yarding of cattle, with a good attendance of buyers. On Monday, 10th inst., at Douglas, yearling steers made £3 2s 6d to £3 ss; smaller, £2 12s 6d io £2 17s; Jerseys, £1 9s; 2 to 2i-year.steers, with some color, £4 3s to £4_ls; 2i-year steers, £5 8s 6d down to £4 7s; 3i-year bullocks, £7 7s; bulls, ■ II s to £6 1Os; yearling, heifers, £3 8s down to £2 Is; forward cows, £5 to £5 12s 6d; store cows, £4 2s to £4 13s 6d; small store cows, £3 7s to £3 11s; springing heifers, £5 2s 6d to £? sscows and calves, £4; empty 2 r year heifers, £3 15g to £4 10s; small fat cows, £6 2s; hoggets, 13sempty ewes, 14s; ewes and lambs, 21s 6d; rams' 6s to 9s 6d.
At Stratford yards on Tuesday, 11th inst,, I had a full yarding of cattle and two pens of sheep. The cattle entered were mostly yearlings and store cows, the latter meeting with an excellent demand, anything with condition selling readily at record prices. Yearling steers were much enquired for, all lines offered being dis posed of, the best pens at from £3 3s 6d to £3 9s 6d; small, £2 9s 6d to £3; Jerseys, £1 15s. I had several buyers for forward yearling heifers and was able to dispose of 253 bead of this class at prices in the purchasers' favor. I supply prices : Yearling colored heifers, £3 10s to £3 15s; grade yearling heifers, £2 17s 6d down to £2 ss; yearling bulls, £1 15s to £3 ss; 2-year bulls, £4 Is to £4 15s: cows and calves (small and low in condition), £3 14s 6d; small fat cows, £6 2s to £6 8s; forward cows, £5 to £5 16s; fresh-condi-tioned store cows, £4 10s to £4 19s; good stores up to £4 12s. 6d; smalj store cows, £3 6s to £3 17s 6d; aged cows, £2 Is to £2 18s 6d; steers, as mentioned above. In the dairy pens I had a small entry, the enquiry being "much quieter. Dairy cows, guaranteed, ranged from £8 10s down to £4 7s 6rt: heifers, £8 down to £2 10s (Next sale November 25).
