GREYMOUTH. Nov.. 15. The young man Campbell, arrested in Sydney for wife desertion, and in connection with whose extradition there was 6ome difficulty owing to the smallpox regulations, was brought up «t the local Court this morning. He stated that he was unable to find -security for the payment of a main--fcenance order made last week. He was convicted on the charge of desertion «nd ordered to come up for sentence when called upon; and, failing to find .security for the maintenance order, he ■was committed to gaol till the security -was obtained.
