(Received August 1, 8.13 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 1. Mr Asquith, in the House of Commons, stated that the use of oil fuel in the navy was begun in 1904, and extended since, but was not a new departure. Mr Churchill, replying to Lord Charles Boresford, said there had been twenty-five oil fuel contracts in the past four years, and there would be further when they were necessary.
