BOROUGH OPERA HOUSE.

To the Editor

—I would like to ask those councillors and citizens who are opposed to" the borough building an Opera House to kindly give their reason for making the vague assertion that the time is inopportune, that the town is not ripe for it, etc. If they would care for a few arguments why it should be built, I could give a good many, but would first like to hear or see some kind of argument "against the proposition, not bar* negative statements.
