PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY

At a meeting of the Presbyterian General Assembly's Bible-in-Schools Committee it was reported that the Nelson Presbytery had declined the i Assembly's request to assist the i Bible-in-Schools movement, because the presbyteries had not been consulted Convener Rev. R. E. Davies was authorised to state that every presbytery had been consulted', and that favorable replies had been received from almost everyone. Replies were submitted to the Assembly in 1911, and in view- of the approval thus expressed, the Assembly unanimously adopted the proposals of the committee. Mr Davies also stated that in 1912 the Assembly unanimously reaffirmed this decision.
