DAIRY PRODUCE.
The London price for New Zealand butter still rules very high, but private advices by cable (says the Wellington Post) would tend to show that there are signs of weakening, the high price being reported as limiting consumption. Sales for Vancouver February shipment are reported at 13d per 1b f.o.b. There have been enquiries received from South Africa, and 13^d for pats has been quoted, but in this case no business was done. The local retail price is likely to be lowered Id for a well-known standard Is 2d brand. Cheese remains very firm, the London market ruled at 73s to 74s per cwt.
