BT GABLE— PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. SYDNEY, Jan. 19. . (Received Jan. 19, 10 a.m.) The aoinual report of the''Japanese mail line of steamers which has just been received here indicates a possible extension of the service to .New Zealand.

The president foreshadowed the construction of seven new vessels, at a cost of a million sterling, including two for the Australian trade. He added that one steamer would suffice for the Australian trade, but in the event of the line being extended to New Zealand one more vessel must be added.
