A CONTRADICTION

(To the Editor.) Sir, —With your permission I wish to contradict a statement that the liquor party are circulating in regard to Mrs Barton. The trade state that this lady has been engaged at a high salary as a lecturess by the prohibition pa*-ty. This is not correct. Mrs Barton receives nothing for her actual services. Her actual travelling expenses are paid, and hospitality is found for her at the various towns she visits.
