WITHDRAWAL AND APOLOGY.
(Received August 1, 10.50 a.m.) LONDON, July 31. Mr Pointer, the Labor member for the Attercliffe division of Sheffield, writing to a Labor newspaper, accused the Speaker of being a miserable and pitfable failure in dealing with Mr Asquith's being shouted down in the House of Commons.
Mr. Lockwood, Unionist member for Epping, raised the question in the Commons, and Mr Pointer apologised and withdrew.
