HEROIC STATIONMASTER.

An exciting scene was recently witnessed at Creswell and Welbeck Station on the Great Central Railway. As a passenger train was approaching at a high speed a woman attempted to cross the line. The driver blew his whistle, but she appeared to be deaf. The stationmaster, Mr Russon, observing the danger, rushed to the spot, and succeeded in leading the woman to safety.
