A CHRISTCHURCH SUICIDE.

CHRISTCHT7RCH, July 30. An inquest was held on the body of "Wm! Fred Buchanan ,an inmate of the Salvation Army Prison Gate Mission Home. Adjutant Stevens stated that at 3.30 p.m. " yesterday deceased appeared to be in his usual mental and physical condition, but later he was found lying in the yard face downwards on a heap of ashes with his throat cut Witness^ believed his age was 32. Another witness stated that deceased had been meancholy during the past fortnight. The verdict was that deceased committed suicide whilst in a state of unsound mind.
