.TRENTHAM, April 9. There is fine weather and a good attendance for the second day. Hurdles— Gold Bird 1, Hydrant 2, Longner 3. Also started: Exmoor, Moose, Chase Mab. Time, 2.46 4-5. Gold Bird made a splendid finish, and won by half a length. Hutt Handicap — Truganini 1, Bollin 2, Mataari 3. All started. Won by a length and a half. Time, 1.41 4-5.
