FINAL GALLOPS.

AUCKLAND, November 4. The weather was- fine for the final gallops for Elkrslie. Sand and grass tracks are both open, and nearly all the work was done On these, while several two-yoar-olds spurted on the course proper. Te Arolia was first out, and with the assistance of Loongana for the last five ran seven furlongs o*n the sand in 1.34, finishing w©U. Hyperion, accompanied by Rarata and All's Well for the first five furlongs, ran six furlongs on the sand in 1.22; Kakawa did the same journey in 1.21 4-5. Santa Rosa and "Waimanea registered the best gallop for" the morning, covering seven furlongs on the sand in 1.31 4-5. The former was best at the finish. Ashley and Doughboy were together at the end of four! furlongs on the sand in 51 4-5 sees. Advocate beat Epsom Lass over a furlong further in 1.6 2-5, Ngapuka was better than Tattoo over seven furlongs on the sand in 1.33,, Coroneted beating Sedition by six lengths in a. similar journey in 1.36. Both had big weights up. , Necktie, assisted by Komata over the last four furlongs,- ran five furlongs on the sand in 1.7 2-5. Winning Post did three furlongs on tho course proper in 39 2-5 socs. Dr Shimose easily boat Rohepotae over a mile on the sand in 1.51 1-5, Bally Shannon easily held 'Maori King at the end of six furlongs on the same track in 1.20 4-5, Aristocrat beat Bully over a furlong further in 1.34 3-5. i Akarana, Carmania, and Scotch arrived in that order at the end of five furlongs on the grass in 1.7. After breakfast Mahono did six furlongs on the sand in 1.19 1-5, and Taimanupo four furlongs on the grass in 53 1-5 sees. Lochbuhie, assisted by Zinnia over the last seven furlongs, did a round on the grass in 1.57 2-5. Goldfinder beat Wee Olga over three furlongs on tho course proper in 40 sees. A largo number of others also worked.
