General satisfaction is expressed at the completion of this great undertaking, and the establishment of railway communication between the Empire and Queen Cities. Many advantages will follow the opening of the line. Not the least will be local medical attendance and medical supplies, which are now obtainable with the greatest difficulty. This does not mean that well-tried remedies that have been a stand-by for years will become a back number. The settler knows the worth of them too well for that. He would part with a good deal before giving up Impey's May Apple, the remedy that has proved such a boon to himself and family during their years of isolation ; and railways and better roads will mean for him more prompt and frequent supplies.
