TARIFF COMMISSIONERS' REPORT.

The Tariff Commissioners' report on the engineering industry state® that 77 firms replied that they -were unaffected by foreign, competition in the Home market in 500 products. The foreign tariffs, especially those of France, Germany, United States, and Central Europe, seriously interfered with exports in many branches of engineering, but where colonial preference operated upon engineering products it "had been a great benefit.
