NAPIER, July 13. The Hawke's Bay Education Board to-nighxL by five votes to three, carried a motion~fixing the school hours at 24£ per week and not to exceed five per day. It is generally understood that the object of the motion is to facilitate the giving of religious instruction in schools where committees are favorable.
