Maniapoto created something of a sensation by the N way heldisposed of Marvel Loch and Noreen in a nine- furlong trial of speed. He covered the distance in 2.2£, the last m%in M9^, beating the two mares with tight weights op by six ox seven lengths. Lady Wallace covered a mile in 1.48£; Isolt the same distance in half a second longer, having a decided call over Porcelain.
