EVADING THE CUSTOMS. [KRBSS ASSOCIATION.] TIMARU, September 6. As a sequel to the case when Captain MiJne, of the English steamer Tweeddale, was fined £25 fox landing an uncustomed bicycle, W. White, who received the ' bicycle, was fined a similar amount for having the machine in his possession. FRACAS IN AN r 4SYUJM. DUNEDIN, September 6. , Three inmates of a Benevolent Asylum were charged with, assaulting another inmate, an old man of 76. The Magistrate ordered them each to forfeit two months'' old age pension.
