(From Our Own Correspondent.)

At the monthly meeting of the Auroa Sdhool Committee last Monday a-memor-andxun, from the Chief Inspector (Mr Bra.it) was read, offering the services of Mr James Grant, M.A., to lecture at a public meeting to all interested on scientific agriculture. It was resolved, That the inspector's offer be .accepted, and that a public meeting* be called on a date most suitable to Mr James Grant.

A social tendered by the Hall Committee was held last Friday night. Although the weather was very boisterous about twenty rolled up and thoroughly enjoyed themselves 1 . The music, which was supplied by Miss Dickson (Pibama) was all that could be desired, Mr M. Joyce making an efficient M.C.
