Our Otakeho correspondent writes :— Tbe Otakebo club met tbe Opunakes a week ago at Opunake, the resnlt being a drawn game. The final was played on Friday last at Otakeho, when tbe local team won by Bix points. There was some awfully rough play, during which W. Morton had bis leg broken. He was taken to Manaia, where Dr Fairman attended him. This was the only serious casualty, but every individual carried tbe mark of battle home with him.

On Saturday Morton was taken to the New Plymouth hospital.
