The Butter Market.
[ Per Press Association.'] MELBOURNE, July 3. The Government have instructed the Agent General to co-operate with Mr Valentine, tbe New Zealand dairy expert, where tbe interests are identioal. Mr Valentine expresses an opinion tbat if greater harmony exifted amongst shippers, New Zealand would be place 1 in a superior position as regards shipping arrangements than Victoria. The dairy farmers in the latter colony are agitating for a better system of distribution in the Home market, and be warns producers against making arrangements with large mercantile firms unless they guarantee a proper system of distribution ; otherwise, it will mean simply a repetition of past troubles.
