HAWKERS AND PEDLARS (Mr Seddon).

No person may be licensed who has not resided in the colony for twelve months continuously 5 nor any person not a British subject who has not also been naturalised. A district license is to cost £2, or 10s if the wares are carried on the person. A general license for the whole colony is to cost £5, or £2 if the wares are carried on the person. Applicants are to Ret certificates of character, and magistrates are to decide on applications. Licenses are to be issued where place of abode of applioant is situated. License fees are to go to the local authority issuing the license. Hawkers are to carry badges.
