WELLINGTON, Jaly 2. Nathan, a well-known bookmaker, appeared to-day as plaintiff in a libel suit olaiming £600 against tbe Wairarapa Star. Nathan had bought eeats for a performance at tbe Opera House in February, which were wrongly given to others, and he oomplained in rather loud language about it. Tbe Star published two telegrams on tbe subject, which Nathan claims aocused him of dishonesty and using obscene language. The verdict was for £50.
