MARVELLOUS FIND OF GOLD
4280 OUNCES.
| Per Press Association."] PERTH, July 2. News has been received at tbe Southern Cross of a marvellous find of gold made by a party of Sydney prospectors, near Ooolgardie. They obtained 4280 ounces of gold from less than two tons of stone, one piece of quartz, weighing three hundred pounds, being sold for £2000. If the gold continues down as at present for one hundred feet it will be worth £1,000,000. It is said to be the richest patch of gold unearthed in any part of the world.
