Prices for well-fatted oxen -were in favor of the vendors. At the Newmarket sale on Tuesday about the aaual number -were disposd of, dairy and •tore cows at the previous week's values, fab beasts at a shade in favor of the
Te&dors. Ox beef ranged from 20s to 23s v per lOOlbs. Some averages of steers were i--.L9 17^ 6d, L 9 Is, L 9. L 8 5s 9d, L 8 4s 6d, L 7 9s 6d ; cows, L 6 10s, L 5 13s 9d, L 5 12s fld, L 5 5s 9d. L 5, L 4 12s Gd.
