Haweea, June 21. At Eltbam, on the 18th mat., the weather was so exceptionally bad that several lines . 'advertised did not come forward, bnt what we offered were mostly sold.
At Hawera, on 21st, we had a good entry, and fair sale. There still seems an vpnsatMed . demand - for quiet springing 1 of good quality and size. Daring the week we have placed several lines of sheep privately, and still have good enquiry for young ewes in lamb. We quote— Weaners, 21s to 28a ; yearlings, 36a 6d to 41s ; 18 month steers, L 2 10a to L 2 128} 2-year steers, L 3 3atoL3 6a; 2J-year steers. L 3 10a toL3l2s6d; 3-year bullocks, L4sa to L4 l2a 6d ; 2-year heifers, L 2 17s 6d to L 3; 2£-year quiet hoiters, in ca'f, L37a6d to I*3 15a ; 2£ to 3 year heifers, springing, L4ss to L4 lss j dairy cowa, in calf, IA 15s to L 6 10a ; cows and calves, L4ss $ store cows, L 3 to L 3
ss. Sheep. — Shorn limbs, 4s 6d to 5s 3d ; * 2-fcooth store, wethers, 8a 9d to 9s 3d ; fat -wetcera, 10a to 10s 9d ; 4 tooth ewes, in lamb, 9a to 10s.
