Champion Wrestling Match.

It will be seen by our advertising columns that the wrestling matob Pou and 8. Thornley, of Danevirke, whioh is praotically for the championship of tbfr North Island, will take plaoe in Manaia on Saturday, 23rd inst., in Mr Moßae's paddock. Both men are in active training, and are about equal in weight. Pou is under the care of Mr J. J. Stagpoole, and is confident ot winning. A good deal of excitement has been oreated in the district by tbe report of this match, and no doubt there will be a large number of spectators from all parts of Taranaki to witness tbe oontest. Pou has noc yet met his equal, nor has be met a really good man, but in Thornley he meets afoeman worthy of his steel. The latter has been defeated by fi nob men as Dunn, George Bobertson, and Uru ; but bis backers are of opinion that he will give a good account of himself against Pou. Mr Matheson is stakeholder ; and the final deposit— i>ls --is to be in his hands before noon on Saturday.
