Ancient Order of Foresters.

HALF-YEARLY DISTRICT DELEGATE MEETING. The above meeting waa held at Patea on Tuesday, the Btb inst. There ware present : D.C.R., Bro. W. Hopkins ; D.S.C.R., Bro W. Nichols ; District Secretary, Bro C. Tunbridge ; District Treasurer, Bro A. King. Tbe Courts in tbe district were represented as under:— Court Taranaki, Bro E. H. Tribe, P.C.R. ; Waireha, Bro W. A. Clarke, P.D.C.R. ; Patea, Bro T. Carmen, P.C.R. ; Inglewood, J. C. Peaoh, P.D.C.R. ; Raleigh, nil \ Egmont, Walter Syme, P.C.R. ; Stratford, L. Libeau, P.C.R. Correspondence read. Juvenile balance-sheet read and adopted. Distriot balance-sheet, auditors' report, and distriot officers' report read and adopted. Decided that the next distriot delegate meeting be held at Hawera. The question of forming female courts was discussed, and it was decided that tbe district secretary write to tbe newspaper proprietors in tbe district, requesting them to draw the attention of the public to the matter, and pointing out the benefits of such a society. A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr W. Larsen for tbe use of the Central Hall for the meeting. A vote of thanks was aoaorded tbe distriot officers for past services.
