MESSRS. P. R. JAOKSON AND CO.'S STOCK REPORT.
The cattle at Waverley and Wanganui were well competed for, especially at the latter place. Prices are without quotable change. Wethers command brisk bidding, while ewes are still dull of sale. We have had_ no really good lines of ewes in the yard lately, and we think there are signs of a better demand for first-class ewes. Pigs sell at full values. We quote:—Cattle.—At Waverley—Steere £4 10s, heifers up to £4 16s, cows and calvbs £4 9s 6d, weaners 395. At Wanganui—Milch cows jes to £7 2s 6d, cows and calves £4 ss, heifers £3 2s to £3 12s, yearling steers £1 2s 6d to £2 13s, yearling 343. Sheep.—At Waverley—Store wethers, 11s ld to 11s 10s, fat ewes 10s 2d to lls, other ewes 5s to 7s, lambs 4s 6d. At Wanganui—Store wethers 11s 3d to 12s 2d, fat 12s lOd, owes 7s to 8s 3d, old ewes 4s to 4s 6d, culled lambs 3s 3d. Pigs.—Baconers 42s to 56a, smaller piga 33s to 408, porkers 15s to 225, small pigs 3s9dto4s6d.
