Good progress is being made with the building of tbe annexes, and tbe workers, very willing volunteers, aie working witb tbe zest and spirit of volunteers.

A meeting of the refreshment committee (ladies) was held yesterday, when arrangements were perfected ; and in the evening a meeting of tbe bazaar committee was held.

The Premier has wired stating tbat he has instructed the Public Works Department and Defence Department to assist. It is expected that from tbe former a valuable series of drawings and models will be received ; and from tbe latter a fine collection ot arms of various patterns.

The railway arrangements will be found no'tifiad in another column. There are to be special fares and special trains, and the concessions made are so liberal that there should be a good attendance from railway line towns.

It is proposed to light the buildings by electricity. Communications have bsen opened with tbe manager of the Gulcber Company, and if tbey take the matter up it is proposed to drive the motor by tbe Stab's steam plant.

A notable feature will be a collection from the Wellington Technioal School. This will be composed of no fewer than twenty-four distinct branches of work.
