The former ia for metalling about two miles, and the latter for raising and gravelling about a mile, and gravelling another mile of the Eastroad. Separate tenders to be sent for each contract. Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at this office, and at the County Council Office, Stratford. Tenders to be marked "Tenders for Contract, Ho— , East-road," to be addressed to the " Surveyor General, Wellington." The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
