John MoNairn & Co., of Glasgow, report under date., 9th December, 1892 : — Butter. — Butter has been in better demand this last fortnight, and with the severe weather which is now upon us, we look for higher prices, and these we think will be maintained for some tune. Canadian and United States creamery, new season, per cwt, 114s — 116s; do. factory, 87s— 89s; Cork firsts, do. do. 120s; do. seconds, 995 ; finest Enniskillen kitts and firkins, I19s— 121; Danish choicest, 132s —1345 ; Australian dairy, just arrived, 106s —116s; do. creamery, do., 1205— 1245; New Zealand dairy, do., 106s— 116s; do. •ceamery, just arrived, 120s — 1245. Cheese. — Cheese have been a very good sale since our last circular. Summer States and Canadian can hardly be got, and Septembers are held firmer at the prices on the other side. United States and Canadian choicest Septembers', per cwt, 545— 565 ; United States and Canadian choicest, spot, early maKea, 45s — 48s ; New Zealand, to arrive, do., 56s— 60s; Dutch cheese, 48s — 535 ; choice Scotch Cheddars, grass, 58s — 635 ; do. Dunlops, do.. 56s — 625 ; jlne Scotch Cheddars, medium, 48s— 56s ; do. Dunlops, do., 44s — 545. Shipping. — Dairy produce should be Snipped in cool chamber. [The anticipations of the above report ik&Ye proved far too sanguine.]
