To start at 5,30 Definition of a Hack. — A Hack is a horse tbat has Lever won an advertised race (Hack autl hunter Races excepted) and is not at tbe time of ota,rt, and has not been during the six calendar montba previous to tbe Urae of start, nominated to any race (Hook and Hunter Races excepted. In all cases when penalties have to be carried for winning, it shall be tbe duty of tbe owner, trainer or jockey, to notify the same .to the Secretary ou tbe night of Taeaday, tbe 17th January, before nine o'clock, at Wilßon'B Stratford Hotel. Nominations for Nos. 1, 3, and 5, (with neneaaaiy amounts) to be in tbe bands of tbe Secretary by 10 p.m. on Thursday, the 15tn December at Wilson's Stratford Hotel.
