Sale of Wellington Park Yearlings

AUCKLAND, January 5. At the sale of yearlings at Wellington Park the principal prices were: Colt by Hotchkiss— Onyx, 420 guineas; colt by Castor — Balista, 850 guineas, both tor Power (Sydney) ; filly by Nordenfeldt— Steppe, 200 guineas, Nathan (Auckland) ; colt by Castor— Bangle, 800 guineas, MoMaster (Oamaru) ; colt by Castor — Vivandiere, 200 guineas, McLangblin ; filly by Castor — Necklace, 700 guineas, Power (Sydney) ; filly by Nordenfeldt— Pungawerewere, 550 guineas, Power (Sydney) ; filly, Nordenfeldt— Formo, 230 guineas, Austin; filly, Castor— Victoria, 300 guineas, Hunter (Napier); filly, Nordenfeldt — Ouida, 900 guineas, Power (Sydney). The total amount realised out of the sale was 6120 guineas. Power represented Mr. Hordern, of Sydney.
