Horses. — The demand has been steady, and an average number brought forward and disposed of at the previous week's values. Cattle. — The demand has been steady for all descriptions, barely an average number changed hands, -without noteworthy alteration in values. Stores continued to sell at prices in favour of the vendors. Dairies are also scarce and high for the season of the year. There was a slight drop in the price of cow beef, but Bteers maintained the previous weefg value on the average ; 23a per lOOlbs was the top price for steers 5 cows 17s to 21s. Sheep were short of requirements, and ■were well competed for. Shorn wethers from 12s 3d to 15s 3d each, ewes 8s 9d to 12s 3d, lambs 4s 9d to Us. Figs in limited number and small in size, sold at from 12s to 20* each.
