THE DAMPIERS.
ROBBERY UNDER ARMS.
On Tuesday next, Mr. Alfred Dampier and his powerful and talented dramatic company begin a two nights' season in the Town Hall. The piece underlined for tbe opening night ia " Bobbery Under Armß " — a dramatisation by Mr. Dampier and Mr. Garnet Walch of Rolf Boldrewood's exciting story of Australian bushrangers, which many of our readers have, no doubt, read and been interested in. The play is full of thrilling scenes, and gives good scope for an actor of Mr. Dampier's standing. Tbe staging of the piece at New Plymouth was quite beyond local anticipation ; and in the third act the appearance of Miss Lily Dampier mounted on a horse aroused an outburst of enthusiasm from the audience. The Dampier company are great favorites in Sydney, where they recently had an extraordinary run. The Hawera public will doubtless greet the company with a full house on Tuesday.
