(PER UNITED PKESS ASSOCIATION). DUNEDIN, March 31. The compensation claim Barr v. Minister of Works for £2250, set down for hearing, has been settled by payment of £600. The criminal calender, comprises eight ! prisoners, including one for rape, and embezzlement of County funds. There are fourteen indictments for embezzlement of Bail way funds.
