MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT.

Auckland, February 25. Horses — There has not been anything Very stirring during the week. About the usual number were offered for sale at the Durham yards on Friday last, and found purchasers without any noticeable alteration in value, except for those of a really good stamp, which advanced slightly, and bidding was brisker than for some time, although no high figures were reached. We quote hacks from JB6 10s to .£l3 ; light harness horses, from £10 to j£ls; draughts, .£l2 10s to .£l9 10s.

Wool, Hides, and Skins — The supply has been scarcely up to the average, and the demand steady. We quote ox hides from 4d to 4Jd per lb ; cow's, 2% d to 3£d per lb ; skins, Is 4d to 2s lOd each; wool, 6£d to 7d.

Fat Cattle — But moderate numbers were brought forward, and found buyers, prices being a little in favor of purchasers as compared with the previous sale, although bidding was steady throughout the sale, the average price being a shade lower for fat stock than on the previous Tuesday.

Fat Sheep— Scarcely the usual number were penned at Newmarket on Tuesday, and there was no advance in values. Fat wethers sold at from 8s 6d to 12s each ; fat Stores, from 8s 6d to 9s ; lambs, from 4s 6d to 9s 6d.

Pigs — Very few were yarded, but ample for requirements.
