The land previous to the manure being put upon it was wheat stubble. It had been heavily cropped, having had two crops of wheat taken off it without any dressing whatever. Now, after being ploughed up and sown with rye grass seed, it exhibits the very great effect of the grass manure. I never saw a finer paddock in my life. I believe one acre with the manure is equal to two without it in quantity of grass it will produce. The turnip and mangold crops have also been materially benefitted by the application.
