Sir, — I am instructed ( bs' tbe band committee to pen you 87 two lines in regard to a parftgr W b; which, appeared in the Star last evening. The ,band, in playing in different parts town on Saturday eveninga,! h«a :Tast the remotest idea in doing so ,of drawing a drink or refreshment from our publicans. Our object, as well as giving »ll th« benefit of oar' music) M ioiittow to those who have so liberally .subscribed to tbe band tbat their. money is not being ill-spent, ( and : that - th%> members intend to do their best to make tbe band a credit to tbe town.
