AUCKLAND, May 12. Arrived, the Janet Nicol, from the Islands. She reports native affairs dull. The French schooner Flora, previously reported ashore at Earatonga, has become a total wreck, but her cargo was saved. Tbe barque liubella, from Sydney, to Tahiti, arrived there with 6ft of water in her hold, having sustained severe damage during a gale. The captain jumped overboard, but was rescued ; subsequently he went mad and died. The American war ship Mohican is on her way to Samoa tor the purpose of making inquiry into the recent distr-b-i ances there.
