BAMFORD'S PADDOCK.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAB.

Sib, — It is nearly time the Town Board did something to give the settlers in Bamford's paddock a chance of getting to their dwellings without being up to their knees in slush and muck. I would suggest to the unfortunate residents that they should meet together, and send a deputation to the next Town Board meeting. All the ratepayers' money ought not to be spent in beautifying High street, and a few other favored spots. There ought to be something like an equal division of the rates. When the next racaaay occurs oa the board, I hope that Bamford's paddock people will put in a candidate to represent them. " God helps those who help themselves," sayeth the old proverb. — I am, &c, Knee Deep Mudite.
