The House of Representatives has dissented from the Legislative Council's amendments in the Election Petitions Bill.
The Native Lands Court Bill, Native Succession Bill> and Native Lands Frauds Prevention Bill, were read a second time.
The remainder of the sitting was spent in Committee on the Native Lands Court Bill, in which Major Te Wheoro moved a clause, to the efiect that a committee of natives should determine what lands were to be brought into Court. The Government refused to accept this, and Sir G. Grey supported it. An irregular discussion followed till 3.30 on Tuesday morning, when progress was reported, and the House adjourned.

The House then went into Committee again on the Native Lands Court Bill, which occupied the time till the adjournment for dinner, at 5.30 p.m.
