EPUNI RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATION

The first annual general meeting of the Epuni Residents' Association was held on Tuesday, 24th April, there being a large attendance of residents despite the inclement weather.

The rules of the Association were confirmed and office-bearers were elected, the names and addresses of whom we publish for the information of residents:—President, Mr. H. Burrell, 21 Brasell\ Street; = Vicepresident, Mr. H. R. Larkin, 94 Oxford Terrace; Hon. Secretary, Mr. L. H. J. Power, i 67 Terrace; Hon. Treasurer, Mr. N. W. Craig, 29 Norton Park Avenue; auditor, Mr. R. Barron, 91 Copeland Street. Committee: Mrs. H. Burrell; Messrs A. Munro, R. B. Gray, J. W. Nicholson, K. W. Sandford, W. R. Dixon.

Various urgent requirements were placed before the meeting by residents and the executive was instructed to use, every effort to have them satisfied. It was pointed out that the most pressing were:—The extension of the rail services from Waterloo; street lighting; temporary sealing of roads where the dust nuisance is prevalent; installation of a fire alarm system; installation of telephone call boxes; storm water drains. Residents are advised to watch fuftire issues of this paper for information regarding the activities of the Association.
