The secretary of the Lower Hutt Branch of the Red Cross Society has received with grateful thanks parcels from the following:—Mesdames Dotbaoa, Olewis, A. Williams, Misses Aldersloy, Colirifc, H Williams, Belmont Women's Institute, Waiwhjetu Methodist Ladies' Guild and several anonymous. • Mr. E. iCaineron, of " Hamewith,'"' Ludlam, Orescent, returned by the "Marema" yesterday moaning from a busin^si, trip to England A children's fancy dress party will ba iielii in Miss Eva Draper's Studiq on (Saturday afternoon next in aid of tin Second Lower Hutt Scout Group. Invitations have t>een issued for the first annual dan-ce of tho Hibernian. Society which will be held in the King George Dance Hall on Wednesday next sth July. It is ea'peeted that this dance will in every way ;be a. success. as no pains have been spared by an energetic committee to provid for a good and successful social gathering.
